Is CoreSpotlight Api available in El Capitán?

Hello guys

I see CoreSpotlight Api listed here https://developer.apple.com/library/prerelease/mac/releasenotes/MacOSX/WhatsNewInOSX/Articles/MacOSX10_11.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40016227-SW1

but I am not able to find the framework in a new Cocoa application, am I missing something? Is it not shipped in this first beta?

Accepted Answer

CoreSpotlight is not supported on OS X. To make content in your app searchable in Spotlight you would want to use the existing Spotlight APIs in OS X. See this document for more information: Spotlight Overview.

I'll try to get the What's New in OS X updated to correct this. Thanks for pointing it out.

Also you guys need to update your headers since all of the classes inside CoreSpotlight are marked as

NS_CLASS_AVAILABLE(10_11, 9_0)
