In iOS 10 Beta 7 how do you sync only selected contact groups via Bluetooth to car system? In iOS 9 (and earlier versions) under the Bluetooth settings you could see, and select, individual contact groups but under iOS 10 there is only the option to select 'All Contacts'.
Bluetooth sync contact group
Hello im having the same problem with the released version of iOS10. Do we know if a fix is coming / available for this?
Need this asap as my car HF won't sync to my car group. (Too many contacts in normal group)
I have precisely the same problem wtih 4,000 contacts and car can only take 1,000. I believe it is because the bluetooth app on iPhone 6s does not populate groups to sync with the car. Have chatted at length with Apple, they say Lexus problem. Talked at length with Lexus, they say it is Apple problem. It used to work until 2 weeks ago and I am convinced it is a 10.0.2 firmware problem. Apple need to fix this now !!!!!!
With over 6000 contacts, I have the same problem. We need to be able to select contact groups to our bluetooth-enabled cars!!!!
There's no way that this is a Lexus problem. As you say it used to work right up until installing iOS10.
On another apple community fourm, this thread https://origin-discussions-us.apple.com/thread/7673883?start=15&tstart=0 also discusses this problem. People there mention BMW (couple of different models) and Mercedes as well. So, it's a number of car manufacturers all affected by the iOS10 update. Seems like it's Aple problem to fix to me.
Anyone have any idea whether there's any sign of a fix upcoming in 10.1?
Same with Porsche and PCM4. Copies everything.
I only noticed today, when I wanted to call someone I had added to my "car" group and it still showed the old list. So went into settings to see if something had changed and there it was. Or wasn't. Now I've got all or nothing.
I hope it's a screw-up that will get fixed, but I suspect it's just an attempt to get me to use CarPlay instead :/
Same with the Nissan LEAF.
I agree, Apple needs to bring the other personal groups back as a selectable into this list of groups on its Bluetooth connector. I also had a "Car Contacts" group that was working fine with my BMW cars for several models and iOS versions and now it's no longer available as a selectable. iOS 10 now also allows to select "Phone Favorites" and "Phone Recent" as groups to sync. That may be the way to go for many. Just select those two and deselect the "All" group. The Recent groupis a pretty big group and if you really need a number that you never called in the car, add it to your Favorites.
