I've read that Watch Series 2 has built-in GPS. Does it also have a compass? If so, how do you access it and not the compass on the phone?

I'd love to see a compass too, but it isn't mentioned in the specs so I doubt it.
Also the proximity of various magnets (charger, some straps) probably makes it impossible. Maybe it could work when not on the charger and not using a leather loop, milanese loop or modern buckle strap, but I doubt Apple would want to put people off their expensive straps.
The docs show that CLLocation is supported in watchOS 2.0+ but CLHeading is not.
