You can no longer install .ipa to iTunes on PC?

I have a problem, to test my apps in the past I would just create an ad-hoc application and then I could install that to any test user that had iTunes as long as they got the .ipa and the provisional profile, even if they used a PC that had iTunes. They could just drag and drop the provisional profile and the .ipa to itunes and then install it to the device. But after updating to the latest version of iTunes this no longer works? Have this feature been removed, or have the method changed? Is it still possible to install the ad-hoc ipa in developement this way?

Update: Actually it was possible to add an .ipa by using the "add file to library". But it is not as straight forward as just double clicking the .ipa file or dragging it to iTunes. It seems to work this way though so that is good! 🙂
