Contacting iTunes Finance on Initial Tax Forms

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can advise on contacting iTunes Finance Support without waiting over a week for a response? Obviously there is the 'Contact Us' form but for queries that I've submitted to date, the response time seems to be ~2 weeks rather than the 2-3 business days suggested on the form.

To give some background on what I'm querying with them (if anyone else can advise if they've had a similar experience, I'd be grateful too): Within iTunes Connect, I completed the W8BEN-E form at the beginning of last week. In order to do that I had to get an EIN (Employer Identity Number) for my company from the US IRS. I phoned the helpline with the IRS and was issued the EIN after going through the sections of the SS-4 form, then proceeded back to iTunes Connect to fill in the W8BEN-E. I received what looked like an automated response to say that they couldn't verify the TIN and Legal Entity Name with the IRS. I'm guessing that it may have been that the EIN had only just been issued and so whatever means Apple uses to verify it hadn't yet been updated, but I don't know that and I don't know what further action I can take or need to take to get it resolved. I did submit a query to iTunes Finance Support using the form on iTunes Connect just over a week ago, but no response as yet (other than the auto-ack).

If you have encountered the same or know a better/quicker way to get hold of iTunes Finance support, I'd be interested in hearing from you.

Thanks!

Hi Sentiscope,

I got the same automated response today saying that they couldn't verify my TIN. Like you I suspect that the EIN, which was given to me on the IRS helpline yesterday, was too new so I was wasting my time using it on the same day. To be fair, the lady on the IRS helpline warned me that it could take 2-3 weeks before it would work with online forms and suggested if I encounter issues to retry after weekly intervals. She said that I shall also be sent a document through the post with the EIN.

There is now a form in iTunes connect prompting me to retry submitting the TIN with an EIN option. I shall wait a few days before retrying.

How long did you have to wait before your EIN was accepted?

Any joy with contacting iTunes Finance support?

Thanks!
