Hello. I had problems with an iPhone project in xCode 6. Since then, I deleted all views from the UIViewController, and after that I even deleted the UIViewController itself. But iOS Simulator keeps on showing the same old project. I did Reset Content and Settings; did Product -> Clean. Nothing helps! This is the first time I face such an issue. Thanks in advance!
[SOLVED] iOS Simulator shows old project
Close Xcode and try again. When you run the simulator it will Build first meaning that it will compile and run the files based on what you have. So if you deleted something, or everything, it shouldn't show it after you build.
Did you stop the previous build?
Memj. Not only did I close xCode, but I rebooted the computer to no avail. I am really at a loss here.
I have two storyboards: the one for iPad has no issues, the one for iPhone does not renew. I read that there is an actual physical simulator file that I may need to delete, but I cannot find it.
Cheers.
Hm. I haven't heard of this problem before.
If it comes down to it- You may need un uninstall then reinstall Xcode. That's the only thing I can think of to do at this point.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
EDIT:
I think I understand now what is going on. The Simulator does not show the old project -- it shows my iPad project (contained in the main Storyboard) using the size of iPhone (contained in my secondary Storyboard). Therefore, the edges are cut and I do not see what I am supposed to see.
I added an iPhone storyboard in my Project settings, and now everything works great.
Memj. Thank you so much for trying to help me!
Thank you!
