Starting out, xcode 12 or 11?

Starting to work on my first app. However, I have iOS 14 on my iPhone and iPad. But by mac is not on Big Sur, so xcode 11.

Question is, can I update my mac and use xcode 12 and still submit to app store? Because currently I cannot test on my iOS 14 device from xcode 11.

Or do I revert to iOS 13?
If you intend to submit apps for distribution to the store, keep in mind that devs are obligated to -not- use any beta tool/SDK/OS as they are not allowed.

As for reverting your iOS, keep in mind that once the firmware on your device is updated, there is no going back, so while you may be able to crib a retro, you'll be working with a franken-OS, so... You will need to either locate compatible hardware, or hope that sim-only apps don't force your users to test for you, ouch.

Too late for you, perhaps, but if someone is just starting out, I recommend avoiding betas completely, they risk making things more confusing ;)

Good luck w/your apps.
