Unable to boot the Simulator XCode 8

I have uninstall xcode and reinstalled. I also tried below

Just unset DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES environment variable in the /etc/launchd.conf or ~/.launchd.conf file. Which you can edit by

sudo vi /etc/launchd.conf
command. remove the above flag save it by "ZZ" (captial Z) and reboot the system.

But no solution found so far. Please help me to resolve it.

Xcode 8.

Encountered same problem here. Problem started some 5 hours ago. It was working fine before that.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Xcode, installed simulator ios9.3 and unset DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES environment variable. Nothing worked so far.

Below is the error log.

Same thing started happening to me today too. I've restarted Xcode, rebooted my machine, deleted and re-installed Xcode (now I'm stuck with an ugly colour scheme, blech) and it's still not working... I'm running out of options here. 😠

I have found some solution after waste of whole day, Please try to do below

How to turn off System Integrity Protection in El Capitan

  1. Click the  menu.
  2. Select Restart...
  3. Hold down command-R to boot into the Recovery System.
  4. Click the Utilities menu and select Terminal.
  5. Type csrutil disable and press return.
  6. Close the Terminal app.
  7. Click the  menu and select Restart....

Is disabling Rootless really that good a solution though?

Same problem, started today on Oct 18, and did not happen yesterday on Oct 17.

Running OS X El Capitan 10.11.6

Xcode 8.0 (8A218a)

It is very concerning that I'm seeing that the solution appears to be to disable SIP, since its purpose is to prevent malware attacks.

Another data point is that my Mac is not set to automatically install either Mac or App updates, but it will automatically 'install system data files and security updates' and was checked this morning.

My theory is that SIP was updated to address a security vulnerability and somehow flagged the simulator as a false positive.

I was thinking that it was a date related bug but honestly, your theory makes a lot more sense.

I had the same problem yesterday. I really didnt want to disable Rootless, so I was searching for the other way.. and I found it!
Simply update from El Capitan to Sierra - This solved my problem with simulator in Xcode 8
