note: I know nothing about developing whatsoever, I just happen to want to try out big sur
so basically, I followed the normal instructions and installed big sur on my computer, until I saw this page that said "Big Sur is installed, restart now to get it" (or something like that). I didn't want to finish the installation just yet, because I had to finish off some projects, and I instinctively right clicked the app on my dock and pressed 'quit'.
after I was done with catalina, I went on to open back the 'install macOS Big Sur Beta' app, just to read over the licence agreement again; and upon opening up to the download page, it says that I do not have enough memory to install the update. I tried restarting my computer, just to look at that stupid catalina island wallpaper again.
When I checked my disc space, it showed that I had indeed installed something, since I just lost like 10gb. desperate, I uninstalled and reinstalled the installation app just to find out that I had lost ANOTHER 10 gb of space. I did some research and found this app called 'GrandPerspective'; I scanned my hard drive, but I saw no big file over 10gb that had anything to do with installing an update.
anyone have clues on what went wrong?
