Software update iOS 14.1 issue

i have xs max. with similar issue..
multiple apps have issues/ very slow

Same problem here on iPhone 6S plus. The phone is unusable after the update. 14.2 did not help either

Since downloading 14.1 my phone has been worse than useless:

• Won't connect to 4G or wifi

• Phone very slow and sluggish

• Apps open but stay on homescreen

• Couldn't do much other than make a phone call

• Couldn't update to software 14.2 initially

• NHS Covid app stopped working completely

I remembered ages ago the dude in the Apple shop saying sometime you need to connect your iphone to a computer to upgrade the software. Although it took some time and 3 attempts, eventually it updated to 14.2. Phone instantly feels better, much faster and apps appear to be working correctly. Hopefully this has fixed the 14.1 nightmare!
