On my 2nd day now trying to download ios 14.2 on my iphone 7 plus and everytime its about to finish installing it just stops anyone got any ideas ive tried resetting my phone signing out of Apple id same thing happens

Had the “error occured” updating iPhone XS via iTunes since IOS 13. The first time I went through this whole process of turnin off iCloud, Passcodes, reset, etc as described on the forum. That finally worked but was a pain and scary to have my phone unprotected on WiFi for an hour. Same issue again with 14.2, spent hours trying to update, kept failing. I remembered the part of turning off passcode, did just that and it worked. Phone updated. Had to redo the Face ID for all apps afterwards. )-:
