Sidecar no devices found

I have a 2017 iMac with Big Sur installed and a 2018 iPad Pro running iPadOS 14.2. I am trying to use the Sidecar function but no devices are found. I was, however, able to use side car on a MacBook Pro that had Catalina installed with no problem.

I am on the same Wifi network, the Bluetooth on iMac picks up the iPad. I have tried connecting via cable. I restarted both the iMac and the iPad. Still nothing. No devices are available in the Sidecar settings. Help please!
Update in case others are having the same problem. I was on the phone with Apple support for about an hour and a half. They were able to get the sidecar to work via usb C by going to Finder and selecting the iPad under "Locations" and enabling the Trust device feature while the iPad was connected on the usb C cable. Still nothing on the wireless connection though. Diagnostics are being run, and there is a possibility that it has something to do with the Wifi security (Xfinity). I'll update if the issue gets resolved.
Same issue here - thanks to OP reply, got it working with physical USB-C cable, but no luck with wireless (same WiFi, same Apple ID, etc)

Big Sur MBA/AS and iPad Pro ‘19.
I am also facing same issue after update to Mac OS Big Sur, No device on sidecar, and not able to connect even after restart or via cable.
