Xcode Quit Unexpectedly

I am running xCode 8.1 with Sierra OS on a MacBook Pro (early 2011) with 16GB ram.

When running xCode, if I maximize a window, then minimize it some time later, the program crashes and I get the "Xcode quit unexpectedly" error message. When I restart xCode, everything reloads correctly and no data seems to be lost. This will happen every time I mazimize, then minimize a window. This problem did not occur with previous versions of xCode.

All other programs on the computer seem to work correctly with Sierra.

I have now discovered that this problem only occurrs when using the green Maximize/Minimize button on the code window. If the menu selection "Window -> Zoom is used, the window goes to maximum or minimum correctly.

Apple is apparently now treating Xcode as a 'perpetual beta' (yes, that's a thing) - be sure to file bugs.

I only see this problem with the documentation window. Not every time but most of the time if I zoom it to fullscreen and then unzoom the Documenation window it crashes.
