Keyboard lag with password/protected fields

I’ve been having a problem since update to 14.2 that anytime I go to type into a protected field or when signing up for a new account anywhere the keyboard takes about 30-45 seconds to respond to type into that field. Safari freezes completely and I am not able to do anything else while waiting for the keyboard to either come up or switch to the new field. Any insights?
I’ve tried a hard reset, reset keyboard dictionary, tried turning off Bluetooth and WiFi.

Ok. I was having the same problem for the longest time. The ONLY solution I found to fix this problem so far is to turn off the auto fill feature for your passwords

settings > passwords > turn off auto fill.

I hope this helps you.
personally, I hate this because I love using auto fill considering I have so many accounts with passwords that I tend to forget about. But if you don’t really use auto fill this should be your fix.

hi. I had the same problem. The solution i found was:
settings > passwords > turn off auto fill.
then force restart and turn auto fill password on again. It works for me
