Hi, with an app built using iOS 14+ and presenting the ATT Alert what do devices running older OS, not everyone updates, experience? I'm reading Docs and forums and not quite clear. I'm not a developer, just the app's creator, and am responsible for organizing the app's needs and presenting them to the/a developer. We're revisioning a current paid app to an app with ads so it will need to request tracking permissions.
This is important to understand for devices/users covered under GDPR and CCPA data policies. If older OS on devices don't show the ATT Alert then the app needs to present consent forms to it. Does the app present the ATT Alert to all devices regardless of its OS version? Devices with older OS wouldn't have the "Allow Apps to Request to Track" option/s in their privacy settings so any chance to change this on an app by app basis is unavailable if a user thought to allow the app to show personalized ads, or not, at a later time - the ability to change consent, revoke, is a policy requirement. Older OS only have the "Allow apps to Track" global enable/disable option so I'm a bit curious as to when/if an ATT Alert is presented to an older OS can it actually override a disabled "Allow apps to Track" setting for a single app?
