How to access apple-app-site-association file from website using Windows Authentication?

Hello Team,

We are implementing Universal link in our iOS app to link it with our website ( website is protected by Windows Authentication)

The set up is not working for us & I believe that our app is unable to access the 'apple-app-site-association' file because the file is behind the windows authentication.

If I browse the file in browser on path at https://<ourdomain>/apple-app-site-association it's asking to enter credentials.

Do you recommend any solution to achieve universal link setup for this scenario.

Thanks,
Neha Singh
Because iOS 14 and the aligned macOS/watchOS/tvOS releases use Apple's CDN to access the AASA file, this file needs to be available on the public internet without authentication.

An alternative is to use managed mode, which is mentioned in the Associated Domains Entitlement documentation.. managed mode will cause the device to download the AASA file directly from the associated domain, and this domain could be behind a VPN, although I have not tested that scenario. It is possible that some kind of certificate-based client authentication would also work. Authentication methods that require user interaction will not work.

In a development scenario, you should use the developer alternate mode, which is documented at the same link.
