After the root certificate update on the notification server, is there any special kind of testing that we can do to make sure that the notifications will work fine after March 29, 2021? What kind of testing strategies are you following to make sure the notifications work fine with this transition?
We use AWS Lambda. I am assuming AWS will take care of updating the root certificate.

There is a test server currently you can use, but the DNS configuration to be able to do that is not possible with Lambda.

We are expecting the sandbox environment to be migrated to serve the new certificate early next (Week starting March 15th, 2021) for testing (api.sandbox.push.apple.com)

As to whether AWS is taking care of the certificate, that is something you will need to contact them for.
