I get that error when attempting to connect to a web application that I help to support in iOS 14.5.1 in Safari. It works correctly in Firefox and Safari web browsers on other platforms (Mac, Windows, Linux, etc).

Is there something that needs to be modified in the application to support Safari or is this just a Safari bug?

As an update to this, it appears related to the amount of information being sent. The web application sends a large amount of data (a database of items). If I make the database a lot smaller, it works without the error. Is it just that Safari's timeout is set extremely low so it won't work?
