I have Been struggling for few months now after buying a homepod to pair with my Apple TV. The problem is basically after setting the HomePod as the default audio output, it just simply keeps disconnecting and I get the screen attached with “try again” or select a different audio output. Trying again will make it work for few seconds (sometimes a minute) then it will disconnect again with the same error screen. It just keeps happening all the time. so far I have tried:
- resetting the Apple TV and Homepod to factory setting
- deleting the home and creating new home (in the home app)
- apple replaced the HomePod under warranty after bringing the issue to their attention. We have eliminated the possibility of a HomePod hardware issue
- I have purchased the new Apple TV (the latest one , with the silver remote) . Thus, eliminating an Apple TV hardware issue
- the problem could be replicated in apple store (using their own TV & their network) . thus eliminating a router or TV issue
- there has been few software updates and I’m on the latest (14.6) for both Apple TV and HomePod
The issue still occurs. I can’t enjoy any movie or TV show for more than few seconds with The Homepod as the default Audio option. Apple support have run some diagnostics but haven’t got back to me yet. any thoughts ?
