macOS 12 beta - background task “donotdisturbd” causes CPU overload for MacBook Pro 2019

There is a background task called “donotdisturbd” that consistently uses 99%-100% of cpu usage and cannot be quit or forced quit as it automatically relaunch. I’ve tried to kill the process through the terminal but I’m not finding any luck and it’s melting a hole through my MacBook Pro. I think it has to do with the new focus feature but I also can’t access any settings for focus in system preferences. If anyone can help that would be great.

It might also be due to Notification Center being unresponsive in both system preferences and the homepage

Still occurs on Monterey beta 2 (21A5268h).

having the same issue on an early 2015 macbook pro with a Monterey Beta 12

Has anyone found a fix for this?

this iss definitely a defect, probably relating to the notification center since i am not able to load it in the system preferences

I am experiencing the same 85% of CPU used by donodisturbd process and re-launching if I kill it. Very frustrating as the fan sounds like a plane taking off and my laptop is being slow this is a MacBookPro from 2020with Ventura 13.0
