Can't Download Xcode 12.4

I'm trying to download the latest version of Xcode that is compatible with Catalina, but not having any luck. My download gets a few GB in, then fails with the following message: "The network connection was lost."

Same thing happens when I try to download an even older version, but not when I download 12.5.1. That downloads just fine, (but can't be opened with Catalina installed).

And yes, I'd love to upgrade to Big Sur, but that would make several of my DAW's plugins stop functioning, so I'm stuck with Catalina for now.

I see this has been an issue for quite some time, but I don't see any solutions. Anyone have any ideas on how to successfully download 12.4?

I tried and it stopped at 2.60GB with unknown error. Generally, just around iPhone event (and WWDC) is not a good time to download huge things. Apple's servers get super-unstable in such period. Wail about a week after new iOS is published and try again. Maybe Apple needs to hire better network engineers.
