This could have existed in prior betas, but I’m using the RC, and while in DND mode, the system is not storing any notifications as long as the device is in DND mode. Prior behavior would suppress the alert and audio notification, but you could still go back and review any of the notifications that were pushed at that time…with this release that is no longer occurring.
