Error Fetching App Record on Validate

Receiving this error when trying to validate any app. I've been able to successfully validate a few days ago, but it just started happening.

Error Fetching App Record App record request failed with error: "Unexpected Status Code"

  • I was able to bypass this problem by using the Transporter, but I still can't validate/upload through the Xcode Archiver at all with any of my apps.

You probably changed your password or your Apple ID connection on XCode has expired.

That's right, this happened to me too. After doing a few account re-logins and some Xcode re-starts it started working for me again.

Same error, xcode version 13.3.1

Same error, xcode version 13.4

I had to go into Preferences - Accounts. Didn't have to click anywhere, just wait for my Apple account to "reload" for a brief second, then it worked again.

Same issue, seems like there are issues with Apple server at the moment

same here in Xcode Version 13.2.1 (13C100), maybe server issue.

Tried on multiple MacBooks and latest Xcode , definitely an issue with Apple servers at the moment

same issue , is there any solution ?

Same issue. Any solution?

Same here (Xcode Version 13.4.1 (13F100):

Fetching app record -> Error Fetching App Record (App record request failed with error: "Unexpected Status Code")

I've tried restarting Xcode, restarting computer, removing / re-adding my credentials, but no luck.

I've seen it failing for all sorts of reasons this morning... Maybe Apple are having server issues?

  • Experiencing the same issue today. Same Xcode version as the poster above me. I am guessing its a server issue.

  • Same

  • same. was working 2h ago, tried already thinks like logout/in restarts etc.

Having this problem today. Restarted Xcode (13.4.1 (13F100)). Deleted account from Preferences and logged in again. Tried logging into the website directly, checked for new agreements (none). Nothing is working. Checked Apple Service Status page and everything is green. I don't believe them.

  • Now it says unable to authenticate. But I just deleted my account (again), and re-added it (again), and that was able to authenticate just fine.

  • Now it is back to "Error Fetching App Record" and "App record request failed with error: "Unexpected status code".

  • Was able to upload app this morning.

I just kept retrying without changing anything and eventually it worked. I suspect it was an issue with Apple's servers.

Same here, tried all suggestions but none did work.

  • You can try this:- i) Install the Transporter app from the AppStore. ii) Export your production app in the Xcode Organizer iii) Upload the iPA from the Transporter

This works for me as I keep getting the Unexpected Status Code when I upload, but export is fine.

  • Thanks for your suggestion. I was about to try Transporter but I think the service is back to normal.
