Open Sourcing TensorFlow-metal?

Hi,

I wonder if TensorFlow-metal can be open-sourced? The current situation leaves us totally blinded in debugging, and there seems to be no way to use C/C++ with it.

From what I have see using dtruss on the plugin invocations it seems that it's really just a wrapper over MPSCNN.

I currently own the M1 Max and is really interested in doing learning tasks on it. I think many in this forum share the same thoughts with me.

Hi @ProfFan, thanks for your interest. Currently we don't have plans of open-sourcing the Metal plugin. We use MPS and MPSGraph Frameworks to implement the APIs.
