How do I check an Apple News article draft published from CMS?

I have successfully pushed an article to the API from my CMS.

The owner is showing as blank, and I can't access the article to look at it and publish it. I also can't press "publish" to get it out of drafts.

What is going on here? How do I actually publish the article.json I pushed?

Hello,

After you’re approved as a publisher, you need to submit some articles for review. You can create those articles in News Publisher or use an existing content management system (CMS) with the aid of the Apple News API.

After Apple approves your content, you can use the Apple News API or News Publisher to publish articles created with your content management system (CMS). Articles delivered through the Apple News API can be previewed or published without further review required.

When using News Publisher to create articles, the "Owner" field is populated with the channel member's name. When using a CMS with the aid of the Apple News API, the "Owner" field is populated by metadata.authors from the article.json document. For more information on Apple News Format metadata, see Document Metadata in the Apple News Format Reference.
