Can't find folder on iPhone sent via Airdrop

I've tried to send a folder with 280 files to my iPhone via AirDrop. Apparently it sends the folder (without asking where to save it though) but I can't find it anywhere. Neither can I send the 280 files inside the folder (it automatically denies it and I don't know what to do about it). The files have to stay together.
