Universal Control Not Working ( 12.3 Beta ) Monterey

Hi All I am using Macos Monterey 12.3 Beta , i can see Universal Control is enabled on this release , i have installed this on multiple Macbooks , Now i am testing 2 Models :

  • Macbook Pro 2018 ( 15 in )
  • Macbook Pro 2017 ( 13 in )

I noticed they never get this to be working between them , even i cant add display or extend it ( wireless )

Is this a bug or am i missing anything here ?

Are you on the same AppleID on both Macs ?

You can check some instructions here (but probably you already did it all):

How to use Universal Control

To turn on Universal Control on your Mac (in macOS 12.3) you can either go to System Preferences > Displays. Or you can go to System Preferences > General > AirPlay & Handoff > Cursor & Keyboard. You will need to place the iPad and Mac in close proximity (although the range is apparently 10 meters - the range of Bluetooth).

I have the same issue, updated my macos switched the toggles on, trying to connect macbook pro 15 2017 to ipad m1 2021. Nothing works only the sidecar.
