Trying to update macOS Big Sur to my early 2014 MacBook air. Didnt show up in the updates so got it from apples website download link to App Store. it’s stuck on the part ”macOS big sur will be installed on the disk Macintosh HD”

not letting me continue

Have you tried upgrading in Safe Mode: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support?

If Safe Mode doesn't solve the issue, let us know what version of macOS you are currently using on your Mac.
