I am seeing this error and this is very frustrating.

Failed to prepare device for development. If you are certain Xcode supports development on this device, try disconnecting and reconnecting the device.

Same issue. Very frustrating indeed. Development halted until fix!

Same issue with

  • iOS 15.4
  • Mac OS Big Sur 11.6.5
  • Xcode 13.2.1

Everything has last version.

Spent hours to reboot, disconnect, unpair, switch off watch, back and forth, etc...

Says "This operation can fail if the version of the OS on the device is incompatible with the installed version of Xcode"

My iMac does not support Monterey, does it mean I can't develop on Xcode anymore ???
