I have downloaded xcode 10.1 but this is not working my mac keeps saying i need to down load xcode 10.13.6 i am really stuck, i need this to work so i can build apps.

And help please

That is probably not the message. It should refer to MacOS 10.13.6, not Xcode 10.13.6.

Xcode 10.1 does require MacOS 10.13.6. What is your exact version (name is not enough precise). Is it 13.2 ?

So you have 2 options:

  • upgrade to MacOS 10.13.6 or higher
  • use an older version of Xcode, probably Xcode 9.4.1
