VBA compatibility with Mac

I'm trying to write a program for a work related project for user management access restriction but when I try to code, VBA displays this error "Variable uses an Automation type not supported in Visual Basic" Since my company only uses macbooks, I'm unable to use my pc for the project, should I just transfer the code from my pc to mac and will it be compatible?
