"No Certificates are available" message when I do have certificates

I have two certificates in my Apple Developer Portal as follows:

I have created a Development Profile just fine for a new app. Now when I try to create a Distribution Profile I get an error as follows:

No Certificates are available.

Click "Create Certificate" to create a Certificate. You need a Certificate to configure a Provisioning Profile.

I am not understanding why it's saying no certificates are available when I clearly have a certificate listed here.

I have released a couple of apps previously with these certificates and don't quite remember the steps but I believe I am supposed to be creating the identifier for the app and the two profiles (one for development and one for distribution).

Am I remembering the process incorrectly or is there some reason it is no longer seeing my certificate?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Also, to clarify, the process I am going through is this:

1 ) Certificates, Identifiers, & Profiles 2) Add button (+) 3) Distribution > App Store 4) I select my App ID 5) On the next screen I now get the error that says "No Certificates are available."

Certificates with Managed in the name are for Cloud Signing. That’s why your Distribution Managed certificate is not showing up when you try to create a profile.

As to what you previously did, it’s hard to say. My experience is that distribution certificates don’t just disappear from Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles; rather, they show up as expired. However, I’m not intimately familiar with the ins and outs of this. It’s possible that a certificate that’s sufficiently expired just doesn’t show up.

Regardless, the path forward is clear: You need to create a new Distribution signing identity.
