Testing Apple Pay in Germany

Hello! A few questions about testing Apple Pay:

  1. How to test Apple Pay with a Merchant registered in region that testing is not provided for (in this case Germany)?
  2. Does the testing account needs to be a separate Apple ID from my usual Apple ID?
  3. Can Browserstack or some other simulator be used for testing Apple Pay (payment method in a website, not app)?

Hi! I have the same question. If someone knows something about testing Apple Pay in Germany in an online store, I would also be very grateful.

  • I got an answer from the support that maybe could be of help: _When you are creating the sandbox Apple ID, you get to select the Apple ID that you want to test with. You can create the Sandbox Apple ID with any country but to test the Apple Pay sandbox environment, you will need to create your Apple ID with one of the listed countires. Again, this is to test, so you don’t need to be physically in the location. _

I also contacted Apple Pay Merchant support and Developers support, but neither of them were able to answer me.

It basically comes down to this question - is the Apple Pay Sandbox supported countries list meant for the Merchant (who has the payment method on their website) or for the buyer (who is doing the test purchase), or both?
