“Unauthorized” error when posting

I’ve just tried to reply to a post and I get an “unauthorized” error page back.

I’m logged in. I’m posting from an iPad, which is unusual, I normally use my Mac.

This post is in part to see if I can post at all, or whether it was just that one reply that is. not working.

Unauthorized usually comes when you were not logged in. Here a use case:

you write a Reply a post
in the meantime your login expires
you send the post: you get the unauthorized error and loose the post (a bit frustrating)
you login
then you can reply.

Did you log in between ?

I logged in, I wrote the post, I pressed submit, I got the error and lost what I’d typed. Repeat, same thing. Then I posted this thread, which worked. Went back to the one I tried to reply to before, now that works too.

I am getting same unauthorized error today with whatever I try to post in reply to my own post and here its working on other posts. Very strange.

Editing my own profile is throwing unauthorized error and here I am able to edit this reply as many times as I want. :D

I have a couple of suggestions on this front:

Quit and relaunch Safari. I’ve definitely seen that clear issues like this.
Retry in a private browsing window.
