Apple Mail : How to remove emails in follow up tab

there are a few new features in apple mail and I don't understand how to remove the emails appearing in the follow up column. how did they get there to be exact and how do I remove them?

I've the same problem...

email chains with 3~4 people, if one reply to an email, but was in cc, that email is marked for follow-up as not replied by the TO person... it's a nice feature but annoying as there is no way to mark something manually as done.
