Hi Dirk, thanks for the answer. But that analytics is for those already have their app running on the App Store. But currently i dont have any apps yet, we're in planning phase. So I'm wondering if apple share how many devise currently using ios <7.0 Thanks, AJ
Ah, ok. Then this surely doesn't help in your case. :-)
There is a little bit of info on the App Store support page. Currently they're saying 2% of users are on iOS < 7. (That's 2% of app buying users; I think those stats are from App Store visits. Total number of users on old devices who never buy apps is probably higher.)
Apple claims 80%+ adoption rate of the latest (iOS 8) as of June 2015. This means
that those who do not posses devices capable of running iOS 8, have upgraded to
devices that do. This is marketing speak. The reality is, 20% of consistent users are
still using iOS 6 or below. 20% of a billion users, is an astronomically huge number.
