Xcode build times very slow on Mac Pro

I just bought a new Mac Pro to use because my Macbook Pro has a clean build time of around ~50 minutes on my app. I was hoping that the Mac Pro would significantly improve this, however it is in fact many times *slower* than the Macbook Pro, clocking in around 3-4 hours from a clean build.

I have noticed in the activity monitor that there are many "clang" processes at around 50% CPU each, and the overall CPU load doesn't go above 50%, with 50% idling. Here is a screenshot: http://imgur.com/a/UP6qt

Any insight as to why this might be would be really appreciated.

The same issue to me.😟😟

I buy a new Mac Pro lastweek.

Finally, I chose to use mac os 10.12.6, packing speed back to normal, goodbye macOS High Sierra.

Please try to uncheck: Parallelize Build on each target in Edit Scheme. It 'll save time to build If your project have many targets.
