Terminal Unexpected end

I used Terminal to type the git commit message. I typed the Chinese git message several times today, and there was a crash, but I could reopen the Terminal and continue to use it. As a result, it can’t be opened at all. After opening it, it crashes and a problem report appears

Tried switching users, it is possible to open the terminal. . . But I don't want to switch users so frequently, I would like to ask how to solve it...

Accepted Answer

Well, that’s not good. Try this:

  1. Make sure Terminal isn’t running.

  2. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Saved Application State.

  3. Move the com.apple.Terminal.savedState directory somewhere else, like your desktop.

  4. Relaunch Terminal.

Once you’re done, file a bug against Terminal, making sure to include a sysdiagnose log and a zip archive of the com.apple.Terminal.savedState directory.

Please post your bug number, just for the record.

I can open Terminal

Yay!

I don't understand how to file a bug against Terminal

You do that using Feedback Assistant. You can either use the website or run the Feedback Assistant app, which you’ll find in /System/Library/CoreServices/Applications.

what is sysdiagnose log

It’s a log file that captures diagnostic information that let’s Apple debug hard-to-reproduce problems. If you use the Feedback Assistant app, it’ll take care of this. If you use the website, follow the instructions on our Bug Reporting > Profiles and Logs page.

and, can delete the "com.apple.Terminal.savedState" directory on my desktop ?

If you file a bug, it’s important to zip that up and attach it to your bug. Once you’ve done that, feel free to delete it.
