I downloaded the IOS 16.0.2 and Siri isn’t responding when in “Apple CarPlay” mode. It will read my text, but when I try to reply to one, it’ll spin then say “on it, working on that, something went wrong, please try again later”. It’s been doing this for several days now. I’ve restarted my phone, checked my Siri settings. Idk. I miss my CarPlay when driving! Help!
Siri isn’t working!

Yes! I have experienced this same problem and took today to start figuring it out. I think we are experiencing the same issue. CarPlay will announce that a text has arrived (can't remember the exact order and wording here) The text is read verbally. In the past, you were asked if you "want to reply" then a ding sound, you would say "yes" another ding sound, then you would say your reply and pause. Then there would be a ding sound, then it would say "send it?" ding, "yes"ding "message sent" It was SEEMLESS and my car passengers as well as I would sit in awe :) Then after 16.0.2 update, things went wrong with the whole verbal texting process. I sat in my car for 1 hour trying to figure it out. Finally got somewhat of a breakthrough. When asked if I "want to reply?" I didn't even say yes, just verbally replied, and the process woked as "normal!" Actually I found that you can say "yes" then immediately start your verbal reply and it cuts out the "yes" I saw a brief discussion on line about this problem and someone said the changes were made to the texting process on CarPlay as an attempt to introduce AI into the process, but it isn't working well. I hope you see this reply and I hope it helps. I've been fighting with verbal texting using CarPlay though in the past week. What I found is that I need to watch the screen, when the Siri colorful spinning icon is large, that's when I can speak. When the Siri colorful spinning icon is small, it won't accept my voice commands. So I've been frustratingly watching my screen and tapping the Siri icon to speed things up.
