Connectivity troubles with iPad Air 4

Hi folks, I have an iPad Air 4th gen that I use for school, and because of that I need to connect to my school’s WiFi. Issue is, I can’t connect to it. I know it works because I connected to it multiple times and also because my phone and my classmates’ iPad can connect to it. I say “no big deal, I’ll just use my phone’s hotspot”, and you know what, the connection keeps dropping every time an app attempts to use Wi-Fi. The hotspot used to work very well but now I’m having these issues. The only Wi-Fi it can connect to is my home Wi-Fi but that kinda defeats the purpose of using an iPad for and at school. I’m running iPadOS 16.1 Public Beta 6 (I think) While writing, I requested the update for Beta 9 so I’ll update this post after the installation to see if I still have issues. After all, it was with a software update that I started having issues. Yes, I do realise that installing beta software on equipment I use as my daily driver is not the brightest idea, but I like iPadOS 16 more than iPadOS 15 and the former has been stable enough.

Edit: currently on Beta 9. Wi-Fi seems to work properly but I installed it like 2 minutes ago so I’ll have to test it.
