Xcode realistic systems requirements for Xamarin development

Hi,

I did search but could not find an answer, apologies for the noise if it's been asked before :

I intend to do Xamarin development targetting IOS and MAC OS as well as Android and PC with the development done mainly on a PC because that is where I am most comfortable. I know that I need a MAC to compile and release for MAC OS and IOs and would rather use a recent M1 based MAC because that is all I can afford at this time.

My question is :

What are the minimum realistic system spec to compile and build small to medium sized projects using Xcode and the MAC version of Visual Studio on an M1 based MAC ? Can I get away with 8GB RAM and 256 GB SSD ? Or what ? I don't need a fluent GUI experience as I understand the PC-MAC connection is via SSH.
