In order to re-install a third-part application (mine actually!) for testing I had to upgrade iPhone 11 Pro Max from 15.x.x (I cannot recall the subversion) to 16.1.1. After that Xcode informed me that the developer must be enabled, so I took step to enable it, from Setting->Security & Privacy and finally restart the device. After boot finished I checked and found that the developer mode was still disabled. After a couple of days I noticed the new 16.1.2 release and applied it. The result of attempting to enable developer mode was the same: it remains disabled! Any ideas?

I have the same issue on an iPhone SE 3rd gen, running on iOS 17.3.1.
I see the option to enable developer mode, but when I do, after the restart, the option is back to off.

Add a CommentGood and Bad News: The good news is that without any other actions by me the last attempt to enable developer mode was successful. The bad news is that I do not know how this has been resolved..!
