With OS Ventura, TextEdit behaves weirdly. It is not possible anymore to select an interline and apply a font size to the interline, e.g. narrower. Using the tool "Interline and spacing of paragraph" will lead to an overlap of the lower text on the upper one on the viewer and no space will be preserved on the pdf format. There is no more expected change of the font size along with the change of the window size. Printing a text or to export it in a pdf format will lead to tremendously enlarged characters. Very often, two windows will appear on activating the application. To paste a text on a TextEdit page will take a few seconds to appear. Hyperlinks are not responding instantaneously. Since a few OS ago, it is not possible to join an audio file on a TextEdit page. TextEdit had been a jewel for 20 years that I used it. Now it is practically hell. I tried a similar application, Bean, [but has a less handy (incomplete) tool bar], thinking to solve these questions : but it behaved in the same manner, Conclusion : OS Ventura would be in cause. Will you render its immeasurable qualities to TextEdit ?
