I've uploaded the Install.dmg signed with Developer ID to the web,
downloaded it to two PCs using macOS 10.12,
and opened an installer.app in Install.dmg at the 2 PCs.
The installer.app was also signed with Developer ID and located in Install.dmg.
But I've encountered the different result of installation for each PC.
- PC P: NO App TransLocation happened.
- PC Q: App TransLocation happened.
In the situation above, I've succeeded to avoid the 'app translocation' mode by the command below at PC Q:
# xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ~/Downloads/Install.dmgSo, I thought that 'com.apple.quarantine' set in the dmg file makes 'app TransLocation' occurred.
However, I've got confused of the relations between the quarantine attribute and 'app TransLocation'
after I've found that the Install.dmg at PC P also includes the quarantine attribute.
So, my questions are:
1) Does it makes sense that the attribute of 'com.apple.quarantine' affects whether 'app TransLocation' happens or not?
What does 'quarantine' attribute have to do with 'App TransLocation'?
2) Is there any other ways to avoid 'app TransLocation' for the downloaded dmg (signed with Developer ID)?
