MacBook M1 Pro Sound keeps crashing when using HomePod mini

Hello everyone,

I often study in my living room and connect to my 2 HomePod minis to listen to some music. I use a timer for studying (Be Focused App) and whenever a 30-minute interval is over some sound is playing to signal the end of the interval.

This causes the sound of the MacBook M1 Pro to crash. Meaning when I try to access the Sound tab within the System Settings it just doesn't display anything. Either it only displays whatever has been displayed before (So if it was on the general tab before it'll just keep displaying the general tab's options) or it just shows a blank tab.

The only steps that usually fix this after a couple of minutes are 1. Disconnect from the Wi-Fi, 2. force quit Apple Music, 3. re-connect to the Wi-Fi, 4. re-open Music Apple (usually still stuck and requires a second force quit + re-open), 5. then wait a while and sometimes it's working then.

Do you have suggestions to fix this issue? I feel like the issue lies within the MacBook because streaming from the iPhone hasn't caused any issues so far.

Cheers, J.

EDIT: For clarification, it doesn't only happen with the Be Focused App. It sometimes also happens randomly or when other sound sources start playing on the macbook. The Be Focused App was just an example.
