WatchOS beta 2 battery life

MY watch battery hasnt got any better from beta 1 to beta 2. It was doing fine today and I had about 70% left when I looked at it. Hour and a half Later and I look to see and it's at 15%!? What happened? I am using a very simple watch face without even one complication other then the date. Is there something I need to turn off or what?

There's a saying... "Do not eat an unripe apple".

beta versions of Apple's SDK always bring pain together.

Same issue. Since downloading OSBeta 2 battery is discharging rapidly. Previously was lasting all day!

I'm in the same boat. It seems that there are quite a few crashes in the OS beta which is understandable. Every once in a while I look down and I see the Apple logo screen like as if it were turning on. Hopefully in the next few weeks the betas will be able to solve those problems and give us all day battery life again. I guess thats what we get for wanting to develop for the watchOS 2 😝

I'm in the opposite boat. Beta 1 lasted about 8 hours, with beta 2 I still have at leat 30% when I go to bed.

Mines draining at about 4.5% per hour with 'average use'. The things I've found that affect battery life the most are:

1. Turn off iCloud Backup - something is not right with the iCloud API - go back to iTunes for backups

2. Turn off iCloud Drive - see above

3. Set Diagnostics and Logging to 'Never Send' - as it will kill the battery pretty quickly because we can assume the betas are logging every single thing.

Turning off Hey Siri on the watch helps the battery life considerably. atleast it did in my case.

I have downloaded watchos 2 beta 3, I will try those methods to see if I can get improvement. just wondering if switching the watch to greyscale will have any impact?

I started with Beta 4 yesterday and hoped it would be better... Sadly my battery is gone after half of the day.

How do I turn off for my watch (or is it all tied to my main iCloud settings on my Mac)?

1) iCloud backup

2) iCloud Drive

3) Change diagnostics and logging to "Never"

4) Turn off Siri for my watch

Thanks for any help!
