HTML to photo slideshow on Apple's homepage?

Hello! I am a middle schooler in Austin, Texas working on a coding project for my class. Recently, I have stumbled across Apple'sbeautiful and original website designs. I was wondering how one would design the code for the slideshow on their website. It's on the homepage and it has loading bars that indicated how long it takes until it switches slides. Thank you! (Any response is acceptable)

Hello Jack,

Good luck with your coding project! You have a few options here. If you don't want to code it yourself, there are options like SlideJS, which do all the work for you, you just need to supply your images, and customize it to look like you want. Apple's slideshow is a little more fancy than your average, though. If you notice, the text moves with a kind of parallax, behaving like different layers. I'm not sure what out-of-the-box options you might find for that, but if you Google around for 'parallax slideshow' you may find some options.

Depending on your experience level, you may or may not want to try building this from scratch. I would suggest familirizing yourself with HTML, CSS, and Javascript, if you aren't somewhat already. There are plenty of great courses around. Tutorials like this one and this one show different approaches and may help you get started.

Thanks,

Matt
