When will ClockKit completely stop working?

Hello Community!

We have an Apple Watch app that intensively uses ClockKit complication API.

As to the release of WatchOS 10, ClockKit has been deprecated.

The question is what time do developers have to make complete transition to WidgetKit? How long WatchOS will support ClockKit complications?

Accepted Reply

We encourage you to build new complications with WidgetKit, and move your existing complications to WidgetKit to take advantage of new features. For example, if you build a rectangular complication with WidgetKit, it will also appear as a widget in the new Smart Stack. Using WidgetKit also makes it easier to share code between complications on watchOS and Lock Screen widgets on iOS and iPadOS.

ClockKit complications will continue to function in watchOS 10.
