I've got a notification in settings regarding some iCloud data that is not syncing with my device (my end-to-end encrypted data). I follow these steps to resume the sync:

  • It asks me to put in the iPhone passcode

  • Then it asks me to get a code from my recovery contact

  • I put in the code, but after some time the phone doesn't accept it and asked me to put the code in again

Why doesn't it work? (I'm currently on iOS 17 Beta 5 and I've had the problem since Beta 4 on my iPhone 13)

I just had the same thing - I had beta 5 installed and wanted to return to iOS 16. After going back to 16 I got this message during set up. Never seen it before in 13 years of iOS development.
