Untrusted open application requests are not allowed in Assistive Access.

We launched an application we created with Assistive Access enabled on iOS17, When we tried to open a URL using the openURL method, the following error message was returned and the URL could not be opened.

"Untrusted open application requests are not allowed in Assistive Access."

Is there anything I can do to get them to trust our request and allow it?

Hi Takada31415, this is expected within the design of Assistive Access; in order to prevent disruptions to the critical path within a given app (and keep navigation paths as short as possible), we prevent apps from taking the customer to a different app that would otherwise be reachable via the home screen.

It'd be great to learn more about the need for you to open a URL, and whether or not we might be able to work out a solution that fits a little better within the intended use of Assistive Access. Please feel free to respond here or file a feedback request using Feedback Assistant!

Thanks, w
